Questions.

Can an agency manage many client apps in one place?

Yes. One organization holds every client app. Each app is priced on its own and everything lands on one invoice, broken down by app. Roles decide what each teammate, freelancer or client can see and do, app by app.

Can I limit a freelancer or a client to one app?

Yes. Build custom roles from Meridian's permission list, for the whole organization or app by app. A role limited to some apps shows those apps and nothing else, and no one can grant a permission they don't hold themselves.

Does Meridian work for custom apps built for a single client?

Yes, at the same per-app price as a public app, on every plan. A custom app gets the whole platform side: hosting with autoscaling and add-ons, Production and Development environments with builds promoted between them, a managed database with local development databases and daily backups (and external access on Pro and Enterprise), a secrets manager, Shopify webhooks over Pub/Sub, deploys from GitHub with PR previews, a vulnerability scan on every production deploy, a generated domain and your own custom domain, Shopify API alerts, Meridian MCP, roles and collaborators, two-factor sign-in and full data export. The merchant tools (pricing plans and usage billing, CRM and analytics, automations, merchant emails, discounts, affiliates and App Store listing tracking) are for public apps, and you can switch an app's type later without losing data.

Is there volume pricing for agencies with many client apps?

Yes. Agencies running many client apps get a custom quote on Enterprise, which also adds Staging, SSO and audit logs, regional hosting in the EU or the US, migration help and a dedicated success manager. Talk to sales.

What does Meridian handle that a general host would leave to us?

On a general host you get a server and assemble the rest. With Meridian it comes with every app: Shopify webhooks delivered over Google Cloud Pub/Sub, with per-shop subscriptions kept in sync as stores install and uninstall, failed deliveries retried and a live delivery log. A managed database with daily backups and migrations run on each deploy. Logs and resource usage. Alerts when a Shopify API version or breaking change affects your code. A vulnerability scan after each production deploy. Development and Production environments with PR previews, secrets in Google Secret Manager, and autoscaling. So when you compare prices, compare the whole list, not only the server.

How do we keep client apps current with Shopify API versions?

Meridian watches the Shopify Admin API version each app pins and the API version of each extension, and reads Shopify's changelog for breaking changes, deprecations and required actions. When a change affects your app, it scans your connected GitHub repository, shows the file and line it affects, and suggests a fix, with Shopify's migration deadline. It works for apps hosted elsewhere too.

Where is our clients' data stored?

On Google Cloud, in the EU (Belgium) by default, on every plan. On Enterprise you choose the EU or the US for each environment.

Are we locked in if a client wants to leave?

No. Your code stays in your own GitHub repository and runs as a standard container on Google Cloud Run. Any database backup downloads as a standard SQL dump, even while a payment is overdue, and you can export everything your organization holds at any time. If you cancel an app, its data is exported and emailed to the owners before anything is deleted.
